Step Inside the Inaugural Galerie House of Art & Design
For the inaugural Galerie House of Art & Design in Sag Harbor, New York, Galerie magazine tapped more than 20 of the nation’s top design talents to bring the brand’s motto, “Live Artfully,” to life. Each known for their distinct style and sharp eye for art and design, the designers have been tasked with imagining “how the ultimate collector would want to live in the Hamptons.” Throughout, Circa Lighting fixtures light the way. Read on to discover how this talented team of designers incorporated our lighting throughout.

The Kitchen by Bob Bakes of Bakes & Kropp
In the kitchen, Bob Bakes of Bakes & Kropp Fine Cabinetry used the Osiris Large Reflector Chandelier by Thomas O’Brien and the Osiris Medium Reflector Semi-Flush Mount by Thomas O’Brien to put the spotlight on the waterfall walnut countertop. “The chandelier, partnered with the two smaller semi-flush mount fixtures to the left and right, really emphasize the size of that island, help to center the design, and the metal finishes on the lighting just complement our signature brass hardware perfectly,” Bakes explained.

The Mudroom by Katie Leede & Company
In the mudroom, a Cynara Large Chandelier by Chapman & Myers and a pair of Fontaine Single Sconces by AERIN are right at home among a whimsical scheme. “My imagination hearkens back to the whaling days of Herman Melville, when young men would go to sea in search of their destiny and bring back tales of the world,” designer Katie Leede told Galerie. “Something of this wanderlust speaks to my soul and informs my work.”
The Junior Primary Bedroom Suite by Rayman Boozer of Apartment 48
For the junior bedroom suite, designer Rayman Boozer set out to design a space that “embraces a yearning for travel, independence, and light.” He notes the Yves Chandelier by Thomas O’Brien was essential to the scheme: “I wanted an antique look that felt both formal and accessible, and would juxtapose nicely with the modern four poster bed.”
The Bibi Large Table Lamp by Thomas O’Brien makes for an impressive bedside table statement while the Mia Floor Lamp by Thomas O’Brien and Huxley Swing Arm Desk Lamp by Thomas O’Brien add additional function.

Boozer’s vision for the suite to “blend contemporary finishes with antique furnishings and modern artwork,” doesn’t end in the bedroom. In the bathroom, the Robinson Medium Chandelier by Chapman & Myers and the Boston Functional Double Arm Library Light by Chapman & Myers bring both form and function to the space.

The Entry Bath and Closet by Elizabeth Gill Interiors
For designer Elizabeth Gill, the Cadence Small Single-Tier Flush Mount by Carrier and Company was a natural choice for her “jewel-box” closet. “The cadence flush mount truly is a special piece,” she says. “It possesses a vintage quality, featuring individual cut pieces of antique glass both around the frame and on the face of the piece itself. When I first saw this fixture I knew that it would be a beautiful and complementary addition.”
“The bathroom was designed to be a place of serenity, focused around the theme of rebirth, drawing inspiration from the Damien Hirst In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida work featured prominently in the space,” explains Gill. To create an ethereal glow, she chose the Liaison Medium Sconce by Kelly Wearstler and positioned it horizontally to complement the vintage mirror.

The Octagonal Salon by Ike Kligerman Barkley
An imaginative team from the architecture and interiors firm Ike Kligerman Barkley dreamed up the octagonal salon that whimsically blurs the line between the indoors and out. The Alberto Small Sconce by Julie Neill, installed in sets of two—one facing up and one facing down, feel right at home in the nature-inspired scheme. The Strada Large Oval Chandelier by Kelly Wearstler makes a statement overhead.
The Primary Bath by Josh Greene Design
Designer Josh Greene says the design of the primary bath all started with the striking floor. “…With all the layering of gray and black, I started thinking of an overcast day at the beach when the ocean looks black and the sky is gray,” he says. Flanking the mirror, two Cadence Large Tiered Sconces by Carrier and Company are a perfect match for a moody palette.
The Primary Bedroom by Richard Mishaan
Designer Richard Mishaan dreamed up a maximalist bedroom scheme that features the Sweep Medium Right Articulating Sconce by Barbara Barry and Sweep Medium Left Articulating Sconce by Barbara Barry.
The Kitchenette and Pool Bar by Leyden Lewis Design Studio
In designer Leyden Lewis’s spaces, it’s all about the mix. “We take a wabi-sabi approach to our selection of materials, that in our opinion become more beautiful as they age, weather, and patina,” he told Galerie. In the pool house, the Nyra 30 Chandelier by Sean Lavin illuminates the richly hued dining space.
