La Dolce Vita on Making a Multi-Million Dollar Home Attainable
Paloma at La Dolce Vita has a great post this week on how to create the fabulous styles found in designer decorated, million dollar homes when you’re lacking a million dollar checkbook. Designing and decorating a home can suddenly seem overwhelming when you find that in pricing the perfect, plush fabric you desire for your drapes and the streamlined console table for your foyer it’s going to set you back more than a few car payments. Plucked from their pages, the elements used by top designers to create the perfect home sanctuary can be out of reach for many of us; but that doesn’t inhibit our love of them or the hope that we might be able to fill our own homes with similar design elements. As Paloma explains, with a little “resourcefulness and ingenuity” it’s possible to recreate the ideas we swoon over and lust after on the crisp pages of our favorite design magazines. Sometimes, you just have to know where to look.
|In her post, Paloma includes some great photos showcasing the interior of a home in Houston’s Piney Point Village which has been outfitted with several gorgeous Circa Lighting pieces. When trying to recreate the beauty of professional design in your own space Paloma feels that “lighting truly is the jewelry of the home and isn't something we usually skimp on.” She suggests deciding “which items are truly important to you… which ones you live with for the longest amount of time” and “invest[ing] the most in them.” Well we couldn’t agree more; lighting can absolutely transform the entire feel of a space with the simple act of twisting a dimmer switch. The right chandelier or lantern can change the experience of getting off of work into an extraordinary homecoming, a warm welcome with the right lighting. We also believe that our products should be attainable and accessible; you should not only spot our fixtures in your favorite magazines showcased by top designers, you should also be able to buy them. Paloma is right: you shouldn’t skimp on the items that last a lifetime. And with Circa’s commitment to affordable price points and the superior, hand-crafted quality of our lighting fixtures, selecting your favorite is guaranteed to be the most fun you’ve ever had not skimping.|
